I love looking back and seeing how things have evolved in my business.
After university I had my first opportunity to exhibit a product at Sunny Bank Mills in Leeds. So I decided to use the designs from my final project and translate them into embellished cushions.
After this I wanted to get my products out there and decided that I wanted to make more wearable items to take to markets. I did this by experimenting with necklaces and pouches in different materials and colours.
I was asked about gifts for the home so started to make embellished embroidery hoops in different themes.
I wanted to develop my jewellery further moving into earrings particularly and experimenting with different shapes and styles.
Although my style has changed over the years I can still definitely see strong threads that bring all these different projects and ideas together - colour, embellishment and experimentation.
